Front Beach

Posted on 17 Jul 2009 In: Miscellaneous

I am staying about a three minute walk from the beach here in Rockport. This beach is called Front Beach, and it’s the main beach in town here. I went today to splash in the ocean for ten minutes this morning and took these pictures while my feet were drying.

A restaurant find!

Posted on 15 Jul 2009 In: Miscellaneous

I hadn’t been writing much about restaurants since arriving in Rockport because, well, restaurants aren’t that great here in my opinion. But I made a real find tonight in Gloucester. Gloucester is a working class fishery town, the home of Gorton’s. It’s also a tourist spot. The most famous landmark in Gloucester is the Fisherman [...]

Bearskin Neck

Nowadays, Bearskin Neck is known for its knick-knack shops and ice cream parlors. Here are a few [...]

Sunset on the beach

Cape Hedge is not the most popular beach in Rockport, mainly because it’s kind of far from town. It’s the best beach, however. Here are a few shots from there yesterday taken just before sunset.

Welcome to Rockport

I’m now in Rockport, Massachusetts, a seaside town my family’s vacationed in since I was 8. I haven’t been here myself for a few years. It’s always relaxing to spend some time here. Here’s a few random pictures.

Friendly’s!

Posted on 12 Jul 2009 In: Miscellaneous

I can’t remember the last time I ate at a Friendly’s, but it was probably more than 10 years ago at the Carousel Mall in Syracuse. So it was a trip down memory lane to have lunch at Friendly’s just before arriving in Rockport on Sunday. Friendly’s is the home of the Fribble, which is [...]
